The Agincourt Project was published to help law enforcement and legislators understand the distribution of obscenity and child pornography through USNET news groups. It was subsequently included in an amicus brief filed in Federal Court in support of the Communications Decency Act (CDA), the litigation of which eventually ended up in the Supreme Court.
